Thai insurtech startup Eazy Digital raises $850K in Seed funding

Eazy Digital Raises US$850K in Oversubscribed Seed Round to Accelerate Insurtech Innovation in Southeast Asia

Thailand-based insurtech startup Eazy Digital has secured US$850,000 in an oversubscribed seed funding round, marking a significant milestone in its mission to modernise insurance operations through digital transformation.

The funding round was led by Wavemaker Partners, with participation from Seedstars International Ventures, Wing Vasiksiri, and the Sasin Bangkok Venture Club.

Digitising Insurance Operations for Emerging Markets

Founded by Harprem Doowa and Maethavee Sukul, Eazy Digital provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms for insurance companies, helping them manage agents, streamline operations, and improve customer referrals and engagement.

The company focuses on small and medium-sized insurance providers that often lack the internal resources to digitise core processes and modernise their distribution models. By offering a scalable digital platform, Eazy Digital enables insurers to operate more efficiently while remaining competitive in a rapidly evolving insurtech landscape.

Addressing the Industry’s Digital Gap

“The insurance industry is still in the early stages of its digital transformation journey,” said Harprem Doowa, co-founder of Eazy Digital. “While many startups are focused on digital distribution, embedded insurance, or direct-to-consumer models, insurance companies themselves are often left to solve digitisation challenges on their own.”

Doowa previously co-founded and served as CEO of Frank Insurance, a Thailand-based digital insurance broker that was later acquired by bolttech. Following the acquisition, he spent two years as Chief Disruption Officer and Head of Insurtech Exchange at bolttech. Prior to that, he also co-founded Moxy/Orami, an e-commerce startup backed by investors including Eduardo Saverin, Sini Mars, Ardent Capital, Gobi Partners, and Velos Partners.

Leadership Backed by Insurance and AI Expertise

Maethavee Sukul, Eazy Digital’s Head of Operations, brings deep operational experience from her previous roles at Frank, bolttech, and Benix. With an academic background in actuarial science and machine learning, she began her career as a management trainee at AIG.

Sukul is currently pursuing a master’s degree focused on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in analysing insurance consumers’ driving behaviour, further strengthening Eazy Digital’s technology-driven approach.

“Our goal is to build a platform that allows insurance companies of all sizes to digitise and streamline their operations,” Sukul said. “By lowering the barrier to entry for smaller players, we aim to foster greater competition and innovation across the insurance industry.”
